Sudbury Stones Rugby Football Club

The 2014-2015 Season

You may have heard that Rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen. The game can be safe and fun when you take the time to learn how to play. We are the Sudbury Stones Rugby Football Club, a social Rugby team which, as part of the Ontario Rugby Union, attend several tournaments and exhibition games a year. Oct 5th, 2013, The Sudbury Stones also host the longest running, annual, Rugby 7's tour in Ontario. This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of said tournament. It is our thanks to Rugby and your chance to end the season with a bang!

Practice times

We are currently outdoors for practice season. We run fitness drills on the Northeastern Elementary School field in Garson, Ontario every Tuesday and Thursday. Practise times are as follows:
Wed………..6:30 pm (18:30)

Registration form and costs

Every player in Ontario needs to be registered and insured with the Ontario Rugby Union (ORU) and Rugby Canada. Registration has now moved online. 2014 full season senior players are looking at a cost of $171.14 for registration and insurance plus $50 in club dues. The online registration process will add another $7.21. If you're a visiting player, or just want to come out for fitness practice, we will tell you what your cost is based on your situation.

Basic Rugby Safety

For a safer Rugby experience we recommend you always wear a mouth guard during practise. Mouth guards are a requirement for any ORU sponsored game.
